The Salmon Arm Recreation Access Program is designed to make recreation more accessible for everyone. Through the Access Pass individuals and families can enjoy inclusive opportunities to stay active and connected.

Access Pass

The Access Pass offers discounted access to recreation programs for individuals and families living on low income. This initiative helps ensure everyone in our community can participate in healthy, active living.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must reside in Salmon Arm (some surrounding areas included)
• Provide proof of low income based on Statistics Canada’s Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) for communities under 30,000 people

Submit your completed application at the SASCU Recreation Centre pool front desk or send by email to [email protected] and be sure to include:

• Proof of address (drivers license)
• Current Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment for each adult in the household

Access Pass Benefits

Approved applicants receive 50% discount on Drop-in general admission:

• • Swims
  • Weight room
  • Public skating
  • Recreation sports

Note: Discount Dip, Aquafit, and Cheap Skate, Stick & Puck are not included.  Access Passes are non-transferable and have no cash value.

Application Guidelines

• Each adult in the household must complete a form.
• Dependent must be added to only one adult form from the household
• Adult children and non-family members must apply separately.
• All financial documents are securely destroyed after approval.

Approval & Issuance

• Applications are reviewed by the Recreation Programmer.
• Once approved, staff will update or create your customer profile.
• You’ll be notified by phone or email.
• An Access Pass Card will be issued or updated to reflect your Access Pass status.

Using Your Access Pass

• Show your Access Pass at time of admission purchase.
• Additional ID may be requested.
• Only single admissions are eligible for the discount.

Expiry & Renewal

• Access Passes are valid for one year from the date of issue.
• Reapplication is required annually to continue receiving benefits.
• Lost cards can be replaced for a small administration fee.
